DeLaval calf feeder CF1000S wins 2017 Dairy Herd Management Innovation Award

DeLaval released the DeLaval calf feeder CF1000S model earlier this spring offering a significant advantage in calf rearing management with new apps designed to improve efficiency.

The exclusive DeLaval software, featured in all generations of its automated calf feeders, has been integrated with CalfApp and CalfCloud in this latest model.

Farmers can now remotely monitor calf data, adjust feeding plans and even service their machines – all from their smartphone or tablet.

“We are honored to be in good company with all winners of this year’s Innovation Awards,” says Gavin Strang, DeLaval Market Development and Sales Support Manager for Capital Equipment. “The future of the farm is at your fingertips with the CF1000S. It makes calf management more convenient and accessible, allowing the farmer the opportunity to save time and labor.”

The CalfApp is free for iOS and Android users and can be downloaded here: https://www.calf-cloud.com/#!calfApp. Visit this Web Site for more information about both CalfApp and CalfCloud.

About the Awards

This year’s winners were selected by a panel of dairy farmers, agribusiness representatives and university experts. Nominations were evaluated on originality within the marketplace, usefulness and value to dairy farmers. This is the fourth Dairy Herd Management Innovation Award DeLaval has received. Previous winning solutions include DeLaval Body Condition Scoring (BCS) and the Teat Spray Robot (TSR) in 2015 and DeLaval AMR (Automatic Milking Robot) in 2011.
