DeLaval Clover liner, Optimat and Optifeed launched in the UK

Held the first week of July each year, Livestock is the leading B2B event for the UK livestock industry. Livestock hosts both cattle and trade exhibitors within a 64,000sqm area alongside working machinery demonstrations, seminar areas and hoof-trimming demonstrations.

“We are happy with the event this year, though, as we generated lots of enquiries about the Clover liner and we are fully prepared to follow up on them,” Andrew Reece, Managing Director, LSO GB & Ireland says. “We did dealer training leading up to the event around the UK, which was well received. Feeding systems were also a big success this year. They’d not been seen before in the UK. Normally, dairy farmers in Great Britain and Ireland feed the animals with either a feeding wagon or a silage clamp but this requires manual labour. As Optimat and Optifeed go hand-in-hand with DeLaval VMS™, it makes sense for a farmer that has chosen to automate his milking operation to automate everything rather than hire someone to do it.”

The DeLaval booth was reportedly both attractive and well located within the vast NEC arena in Birmingham. In additional to a professional appearance, the booth showed off the breadth of the DeLaval portfolio. Visitors were extremely positive and some even said that this was the best booth by far at this year’s Livestock.
